A review on the success factors of crowdfunding-based to finance small-scale infrastructure projects

Public-Private Partnership (PPP) schemes in delivering economic and social infrastructure are growing developing countries worldwide. Various countries, including Indonesia, has also been preparing numerous projects, ranging from larger-scale infrastructures that include toll roads to multifunction satellites smaller-scale water supply, solid-waste management, regional hospital projects. With the increasing numbers of smaller projects proposed by local government, attracting financers invest these is still a challenge government faces. Financial institutions averse making appraisal due diligence such owing nature little historical evidence private finance involvement small-scale finance. In some western citizens have taken initiative forward their development realizing social, economic, environmental benefits civic for community. Theoretical research shown opportunity utilizing crowdfunding urban infrastructure; however, factors contributing benefit this method yet be identified.
